It is because sex isn't always a pre-planned event.

Historically it usually just happen in the heat of the moment.

It us just that more people are having romantic experience out if wedlock.

So it is more obvious and the other difference today is that people are more honest about admitting it.

You right, it is not a topic that agreement comes easy on.

However, I don't have a child and sway back and forth between whether I want one. I will admit that I don't want for my eggs them to dry up and leave me without the option right this second.

So, I feel completely at peace saying I'd choose to make that lifelong commitment as opposed to having my life cut short. But as you implied different strokes for different folks.
