my esteemed comrade, Jaded: towing the line just mean saying she's attractive -- akin to when black people insult other black people for not being "black enough" because they may speak english.

Remember the media has been &quot;trying&quot; to condition us to what is beautiful and what is not beautiful. Stick thin was once beautiful and so was plump back in past centuries. Real beauty is on the inside...

well Sue.. i thought the issue was that people magazine was going against the status quo by calling her beautiful thereby putting her up to ridiculed by the masses

but I can see that if you and I view her differently we could have very different takes on the matter

... no that's what i thought too. not saying she doesn't have a pretty face, but there are a lot of people like radio hosts and tv jokesters who will take the opportunity to mock her. and we know it.
