NEW YORK (WABC) -- NYPD has activated an Amber Alert for a missing 4-year old from the Bronx.
The official release is below:
The New York City Police has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a confirmed child abduction that occurred on Trinity Avenue, in Bronx, NY at about 4:30 AM on 4/30/2010.
The CHILD, Shaylenn Brunson is a Black female, approximately 4 years old with black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 3 feet 0 inches and weighs about 48 pounds. Shaylenn was last seen wearing white jacket, blue jeans, pink sneakers and blonde streaks in her hair.

The SUSPECT, Shyuana Brunson is a Black female, approximately 12 years old with black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing Burgandy plaid shirt, blue jeans, white Nike sneakers and possibly carrying a book bag.
The SUSPECT was last seen traveling on foot.
The 4 yr old child was taken by her <span style="font-weight: bold">12 yr old sister who has a diminished mental capacity and no means to care for the child.</span> They are believed to be on foot having left Trinity Avenue in the Bronx in the early morning hours.
Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call the New York City Police at (866)NYS-AMBER or dial 911 to provide information on a report or sighting.
