You know how the American society operates already.
If a 14 year old white girl get romantically involved with a 14 year old black boy, she will be treated like scum in private by all those who seem so supportive in public.
She took That for four years, but as she get more mature,she realize the changes she need to make to get ahead.
She tried and lost her life in the process.
They didn't support to the extent they previously pressured hey to get out if it.
It is a shame to waste her life because she made a social error.
It is a shame on the society.
