I just learned about this young woman's murder....here are the lessons for all, and I know many board members have daughters and sons.....

STOP enabling your child and covering for bad behavior

Tell your girls to talk

Tell their friends to "snitch"

ENcourage communication at all costs...

NOW that this lovely girl is dead in a cruel way,,,everyone NOW sees the signs..

I did workshops with my girls at school on this and used the Lifetime movie "NO ONE WOULD TELL" to get through to them which showed all the danger signs, and charges friends with responsibilities in these cases.

Now two young lives messed up.

Too many parents are being brothers and sisters to their children instead of Parents. I don't know what you are talking about but I sympathized with the family that is involved in this brutality on our children.

Suspect in lax killing once deemed 'unflappable'

Police have arrested 22-year-old George Huguely of Chevy Chase, Md. and have charged him with first-degree murder of Love. Police Chief Tim Longo said during a news conference that 22-year-old Yeardley Love's body was found early Monday, May 3, 2010 in her Charlottesville apartment by a roommate. Longo says police were originally responding to a possible alcohol overdose, but quickly discovered it was something worse.

George Huguely's coach at the Landon School in Bethesda, Md., described him in 2006 as a prankster whose lighthearted attitude helped make him a leader.

Now Huguely is charged with murdering fellow 22-year-old Yeardley Love. Police say he kicked in her bedroom door and that her head repeatedly hit a wall as they struggled. Huguely's lawyer says it was an accident.

Students at the university in Charlottesville planned to pause from studying from finals for a memorial service Wednesday night. The highly ranked men's and women's teams have decided to go ahead and play in the upcoming NCAA tournament.

Wise Jamaican, I doubt her family knew about this guy and his dark side, but her friends at school did.

Yaredly's funeral was today. She was carried by members of the men's Lacrosse team, team mates of the boyfriend who probably was her murderer.

Young people and drinking don/t mix
Parents should stop enabling their children
Athletes should not be people of special privilage
Friends must not keep the wrong secrets
Love should not hurt

My daughter was away at college and there was a spurned suitor who was acting VERY crazy.. I love my daughter, and there but for the grace of God go I, I can really really feel for these people.
