Re: White flight? Suburbs lose young whites to cities
i grew up in the inner city and don't miss it one bit. do not ever wanna go back to living that way, all up on toppa one another. it makes ppl crazy. and i hated the physical surroundings, the overcrowding, dirty dark streets, and gray cement - for me there's just no sense in having a nice house on the inside if i have to hide inside ah it to get away from miserable conditions outside.
can't say i love the suburbs much either, although where i live now is kinda in-between the two; on the cusp as tulip says - 'just' outside the city. it's okay, but what i liked best was bein waaaayyyyy out, even past the suburbs, in the real country. when i lived that way i didn't mind the commute; even though i worked in the city i so much enjoyed having fresher air and breathing room when i was at home. a couple years ago i moved back down here to be closer to family, but now that i'm once again living so close to the city, it's only reminding me why i left in the first place. and now i'm working on getting far out again -
