Seaga lost confidence in the Coach methods. He mentioned that there were problems through out the year. I would fire the coach if I thought the players would be tired on Sunday...

Seaga supervised two periods of growth. In 80 he was the only alternative. Having lived through the 70's Manley had nothing to offer he was completley devoid of ideas.. But Seaga's greatest contribution to Jamaica was he beleived in Jamaican constitution... Like it or not in 83 had the PNP had that opertunity we would have had a destroyed parliment... What happened in 83 ???? Seaga created an opposition.. He appointed oppostion senators, he consulted wiht the PNP after their idiotic boycott.

by the way I think Seaga is an arsehole

You remember everything in the 70's, but you don't remember that the 83 period was not the first time that one party Was in the house.

And Parliament was not any more destroyed than it is or ever have been.

You behave as if the excuse for government is a real Functioning government instead of the puppetry it really is.

Jamaica is s farm colony for the west have always Been so.

The government is simply there to ensure that the general population is decieved so that it remains so in perpetuity.

LOL I pretty sure this was going to be posted with the appropriate political angle. I read the comments and they shows that Comrades are crazy, bad-mind, simplistic, dishonest Jaamicans.

Many went straight to fact that Eddie Blinds lost 11 straight Elections and Lennie Hyde won three Football Premier leagues.
They are Comrades so they conveniently forgot that the only time since 1972 till now that Jamaica recorded positive growth was under Eddie Seaga.

They also forgot that Tivoli Gardens from being the bottom of the pile became a powerhouse under Eddie Blinds guidance using different coaches. One of the most notable a Dancehall DJ turned Coach.

They also forgot to mention that Tivoli Complex set the standard for Ball Fields and success by Tivoli and Eddie Blinds rescued the Premier Leagues and guided through the roughest part of it history in 2007-2010 so far.

Coaches get fired everyday. Mr. Seaga might have being wrong to be so involved with the day to day Coaching side of his ball club but, other Clubs by Lennie own admission have had a similar problem with him.

Former Tivoli Gardens football head coach, Lenworth Hyde Sr, was relieved of his duties via telephone on the eve of the defending champions' ultimate match of the season against champions Harbour View after club chairman, Edward Seaga, expressed displeasure with his team selection.

<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Tivoli had come into the fourth and final round of the season trailing Harbour View by a point, but lost four of their five games to hand the title to the 'Stars of the East' by an 11-point margin.</span>

Hyde had brought success to the club last season, leading them to the Premier League and Jackie Bell double, but Seaga views the fourth-round drop in form as the major difference between the two seasons.

<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">"The big difference compared to last year, is that we didn't have a crash; you don't win nine matches in a row and then you crash with three and have a fourth one coming up," said Seaga. "We kept saying to him, put the best team on the field, if there is discipline to be invoked I will invoke that discipline by fining them and when I do that, I get good results.</span>

"He wants to do the punishment, withdraw the service (of the players) and hold grudge against the players, which punishes the team," Seaga added.

First and foremost like I said over the years I have made that distinction.
Secondly before Bruce distinguished the Party from the Government Portia Simpson Miller famously made that distinction in the Trafigura Affair. In fact over the years the PNP, especially the Comrade Wing have sought to keep the Government separate from the Party.

Go ask your family if you think I am lying.
The official Party Colours of the PNP is Orange the Comrades introduced the Red with Socialism in 1974.

Life long supporters of the PNP equals comrades - so same difference.

Supporters of the JLP = labourites. I was a labourite when Golding took over in 2007....but not anymore. I'm now claiming independent status.

Not true you really don't know the PNP Party there are a lot of differences within the ranks. I admit I have been a life long supporter of the PNP. I was born and raised in a PNP Garrison and I don't know not one, not one Labourite, but I have also been an outspoken member of the PNP against the PNP Leadership since 1977.

I think before you come to a conclusion you must at least overstand what you are talking about. As the PNP Human Rights Coordinator said a a forum the other day the PNP Party is not an homogeneous unit.

FORMER Tivoli Gardens National Premier League head coach Lenworth Hyde S<span style="color: #CC0000">nr has hit back at club chairman Edward Seaga for the manner in which he was dismissed on Saturday, on the eve of the 38th and final round of the 2009/2010 Digicel Premier League.</span>

Football coaches worldwide are fired in various ways for various reasons, but Hyde Snr was fired immediately after submitting his team's starting list over the telephone by Seaga, who is also the head of the Premier League Clubs Association (PLCA).

It would appear that the problems were Mr. Seaga's responsibility and not Mr. Hyde's. Why should a coach be distracted by tired and indisciplined players?

I am willing to bet that that the fatigue wasn't from training but from "athlete unfriendly" activities.

Most of the great teams of my schoolboy days were built on discipline and hard-work. They played and played and trained and trained. Mr. Seaga should facilitate that and not worry about humiliation.

He could start with drug tests, curfews and proper nutrition. For every protected player there is a more disciplined, fitter and more intelligent one waiting for a chance - those are the ones that need a chance, not the prima donnas living off reputation and thug patronage.

Did you see the precipitous drop in points over a few matches?
The Coaching Method is what Mr. Seaga criticized. He agreed that there was a discipline problem. He agreed to punishment but his way was better than Lenny. Fine them rather than keeping the best players off the filed.

It appears that Lenny wanted to train players for the next level Eddie Blinds want his local club to win matches. These conflicts happen every day and I think most times the Coaches lose.
