A Kentucky man has been arrested for allegedly giving alcohol to his 2-year-old stepdaughter.
Raymond Jackson, 23, is facing criminal abuse charges <span style="font-weight: bold">after he mixed gin with sweet tea and gave it his daughter.</span> She eventually became unresponsive and had to be hospitalized.
"Friday night I got off work, went in there checked on her,” said Jackson’s wife. She said that’s when he noticed something was horribly wrong with her little girl. “I rubbed her cheek, rubbed her face, tried shaking her arms, nothing. Her eyes were rolling in the back of her head, her breathing was real shallow. Yeah it terrified me."
<span style="font-weight: bold">The girl’s blood alcohol level was .295 which is more than three times the legal limit even for adults.</span>
The girl is said to have recovered and is in good condition.
Bail has been set for Jackson at $10,000. He is also ordered to stay away from his stepdaughter.
