Now he says if they will return him to Aruba (I guess so he can escape, or let him serve his sentence in a Carribbean jail instead of Peru he will tell them where Natalie is buried....he says he afraid he will be killed in jail in Peru...afraid to be killed??? Gee I wonder now Natalie and Stephany and lord knows who else felt about that???

and personally i feel he deserves alla of it, whatever he gets. death sentence is a too easy out for the likes of him....

i vote for castration, rusty knife, no anesthesia. Then make him keep living with THAT for de rest a him life.

Thank you lord that my mama and daddy did NOT or could not afford to give me everything my little heart desires, that they taught me some common sense, and that I had to work for a living and had some foundation and ground work in this life.

They had a piece on MSNBC, I believe it was, on van Der Sloot and his involvement with (murder of) Natalee Hollaway. Her mother arrived in Aruba within hours of her being reported missing, and jumped on the methods of the Aruban police like white on rice. It was evident from the time she arrived that van Der Sloot and the 2 brothers were the last to see her alive. They then started telling conflicting stories about their own actions after they left the casino together.

Finally Natalee's mother saw the video of the hotel entrance, and no Natalee was seen returning; which was one of the first stories. Later van Der Sloot said that a Black security guard was there when he &quot;dropped Natalee off&quot;. The guards were arrested--surprise!! Later they were cleared by the video.

I disliked Aruba when I was there. I felt that the African-Caribbean population were relegated to second class citizenship, even though it was very subtle. Case in point, we heard about a street fair in St. Nicholas, a town in which the majority of A/C population lives. We asked the concierge, an Aruba local, for the best way to get to the fair, and were told that it would be over by 6 (this was after 5). The next day's paper said the fair had gone on until the wee hours of the A.M. Every time we asked about restaurants serving local cuisine, we were steer towards a touristy (read brimming with Americans) style eatery. <span style="font-weight: bold">I DIDN'T LIKE ARUBA IN '95, AND I LIKE IT EVEN LESS NOW THAT THEY PROTECTED THIS MURDERER UNTIL HE COULD KILL AGAIN </span>

When Natalee's mom insisted that they question this pampered thug, he even turned on his buddies, claiming that they had dropped him at home and continued on with Natalee. People and the press in Aruba turned out to defend this kid. I wonder how they feel about him now?

actually there weren't that many in the country that supported the kid and his father (maybe the Father's friends and some of the police force but thats about it)

if you see interviews of the editor for the newspaper there (who seems to have a pretty good feel for the atmosphere there), he states that MOST if not everyone wanted this kid locked up and off the streets and wanted their island to return to pre-vanderslut days.

Not true. After the &quot;boys&quot; were released, crowds of Arubans came out with signs proclaiming their innocence and the deriding the American press for trying to railroad their citizens.

Aruba does not interest me. Most of the people (white Americans) that I know that go to Aruba often would get om my last nerve om vacation.

I never had an urge to go there. From my research on islands you'd be hard pressed to beat Jamaica.
