Really? Substitute the word &quot;gay&quot; for &quot;jewish&quot;, &quot;black&quot; or &quot;muslim&quot; etc. then, there would be an outcry, and rightly so!

And as gays also pay their taxes, which goes towards that festival - cos it's free, therefore paid by taxes at the end of the day, why do they not have the right to protest it?!

Discrimination is just that! Whoever you direct it against, just my 2 cents. We are all God's children.

Anyway, Beenie Man has also been cancelled from Couleur Cafe Festival in Belgium this w/e....

There's a very good poem that goes something like this:

the irony about the use of this poem is its selective use...all those groups are being discriminated against in just about every single country in the world....it is remarkable that a song of 20 yrs ago is held up as a lynchpin of homophobia even as gays r denied rights in the socalled lead country of democracy and in some nations r openly killed by law.

but a concert in a country that flouts mores that other countries' have laws against, Beenie Man, a chap who started a career at 9yrs old, and has no formal education to speak of, HE is the lynchpin of homophobia...in the attempt to be correct, some showing dem own prejudices...go afta who u tink is less dan u an let the stronger and more organized bigots go free ...cowards...
