Progressives overwhelmingly supported Obama in 2008 because most thought, or he may have given the impression that he a progressive. If you must know, even before he announced his candidacy in 2007, I had already pegged him for a centrist, and by the time of the primaries, slightly to the left of Clinton, overall, but a centrist, nonetheless.

You said she dropped standard English as if she had a command of it in the first place. No, it didn't work out for her. In the case of Mrs Clinton, it worked for her in that she used those tactics to win the primaries in places like West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee, but it just wasn't enough to get her past the finishing line. She won a few battles, but she lost the war. Those are not qualities that are reflective of true leadership.

To be fair, neither Sista P nor Mrs Clinton had pretended to be agents of change or sought to fashion a new kind of politics. Their opponents presented themselves as such, only to reveal their true selves upon gaining office. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't demand higher standards.

I agree that it is all talk and no change,no move to anything progressive.
When you mentioned &quot;capitalism to socialism to communism&quot;, I can understand that when capitalist politicians run for office they often have to promise something to the working people and the poor in order to get elected and this always turns out to be the case in multi-party &quot;democracies&quot; .

What I did not follow was your reference to &quot;socialism or communism&quot; Specifically what countries or leaders were you making reference to when you added those two economic forms to the mix?
Since there are no communist countries and Cuba, North Korea are the only socialist countries and Cuba alone of the two has elections and in those elections the candidates do not campaign, do not make promises, how do these two countries enter into your thinking.?
