Message from Jamaica’s Consul General to Toronto – Seth George Ramocan

Fellow Jamaicans,
As you know Jamaica ’s Prime Minister the Honourable Bruce Golding has been invited by the Prime Minister of Canada to attend and participate in the G8 Summit being held at the Deerhurst Resort in Northern Ontario .
The Prime Minister regrets very deeply that the extremely high security and extensive itinerary associated with the gathering of World Leaders at the Summit , will not allow him to meet with the Jamaican-Canadian Community on this his first visit to Canada as Prime Minister. The Prime Minister is looking forward to a future visit at the earliest possible date to meet with Jamaicans and Canadians of Jamaican descent here in Canada .
