Charged with possession of, dealing in and taking steps to export cocaine, as well as conspiracy, are Ildiko Gondor, a 38-year-old hairdresser from Budapest, Hungary, and Carlisle McPherson, a painter.
The allegations are that on May 5, both accused persons were preparing to board a flight to England on British Airways. Gondor's luggage was searched and cocaine, weighing a total of seven ounces, was found in her suitcases.

It is alleged that before the discovery was made, McPherson told officials that Gondor was his girlfriend and said they had come to Jamaica to spend some time together. However, after the contraband was seized, he reportedly changed his story and told the police that he did not know Gondor. They were both arrested and charged.
When the matter was mentioned in court, it was revealed that the forensic certificate in the matter was not yet ready.
A new date of June 29 was set for the case to be mentioned again.
