Work is underway to restore the Junction main road in St. Mary to two lane traffic.

The road was reduced to single lane Tuesday after heavy boulders became dislodged.

Communications and Customer Services Manager at the National Works Agency (NWA), Stephen Shaw said the road should return to normal traffic flow by late afternoon.

“We have deployed a contractor with heavy equipment to Junction Road to have the boulders removed. These boulders have impacted the road since yesterday when the corridor was reduced to single lane access just beyond its border, that’s the border between St. Mary and St. Andrew,” Mr. Shaw said.

During the PNP`s tenure in office. National Works Agency.
Remember they changed JIS to API and the JLP about turned it back to JIS.
The PNP suffer from nightmares hence them changing names more than they ever changed Jamaica for the good.
Imagine the costs incurred for letter-head changes and whatever else caused by flimsiness.

Boulders will roll downhill whenever the soil saturates and gives way to the weighty suspensions.
The same problem arises in the Bog Walk gorge, only that so far the gorge has rocks and stones falling on the road and not the Junction type huge boulders.
