I've always thought the rules for building construction in Jamaica were pretty stringent due to hurricane threats, but this article has me wondering.....

This person don't know what he is writing g about.
Prior to the recent collapse of those buildings being built by foreign contractors there base never been a building failure That resulted in any catastrophic loss.
.But There Is not only adequate building standards on the books,but annual inspection to check for variations by the fire depth
But with not sufficient taxes. They can't afforfd
adequate staffing.
The problem with Jamaica is that the process of authorization is too slow
