A rep for the star did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Access Hollywood - however, Paris took to her Twitter page to defend herself.
"So sick of people making up rumors about me. The latest one about me is completely false too. Don't believe what you read. Silly nonsense," Paris Tweeted on Saturday morning.
"Just to put an end to these rumors. The stories saying I have been arrested are completely false! I am having the best vacation of my life!" she Tweeted later on Saturday.
The star did not comment on if she had indeed been held -- though not arrested -- by police.
The alleged drug-related incident was the second this month for the heiress, who was detained and questioned about marijuana use at the World Cup in South Africa.
"Paris Hilton was questioned today by police in South Africa on allegations of smoking marijuana," Hilton's rep said in a statement to Access at the time. "I can confirm that the incident was a complete misunderstanding and it was actually another person in the group who did it."
