Are we still SMART?

As technology increases, are we at the same time creating the dumbimg down of our species around the world, or is it just an American phenomenon?

For example, more and more kids can not do math on paper, without a calculator. Do places like China, Japan, Caribbean, England, etc suffer the same fate?

This reminds of something I was reading along this subject of technology...

in my daughter's room you can find all sorts of reference books, from dictionary to enclycopedias (science, biology) to world map. mi nuh need di full set of enclyopedia just the single subject fun ones.

dats just how mi roll, she need fi learn how fi use dem before she can do research pan PC.

this year mi a guh teach her how fi use peeca string fi measure the distance pan the maps (unnu membah dis from JA )

and we have spell check on emails and stuff too that makes some lazy with spelling
