mi nuh really pay attention to marathon/triathlon tingys (even from mi work) so never really hear bout this till today, never see it pan di news eedah, but mi rarely watch local news to begin with

it is completely consistent with jamaican policy over the last couple of decades...
movies like &quot;how stella got her groove back&quot; &amp; other media releases and spring break promos have cast jamaica as a getaway for kinky fun...
the present owners of jamaica have no interest in national image--only in exploitation to add to their wealth;
they mis-represent the average jamaican to suit the image they wish to convey to the rest of the world...

but garvey warned decades ago that this attitude--if left unchecked---would come back to haunt them...
