this man has a gift for gab..
as a kid mi use to just list to him and be amazed at how skilled a wordsmith him his..
but there seems to be a darkside to this bredren, as if he has used his mouth, his cloth and his color to create an illusion of what he really is about.. which is to sit on the heads of the Jamaican people.
for some reason, this man remind me of the kind of thief that if caught robbing you, would use his mouth in such a way that in the end, you would be apologizing to him..
His mouth is so skilled, that if mind nuh sharp, YOU may be the one who end up going to jail for catch him robbing you.
Now him a chat bout "I'll be an informer"..
lets take a bet. Bet money Ronnie Thwaite dont inform pon a soul. At best him may sell out some useless rouge or scapegoat inna him constituency, but not even that me expect.
He uses words to create a illusion. Uses the podiun (his talk show) to fill the air with this notion that he is a man of the people. Listening to his program and not know who this man is, you would never guess that he is an active politician, an MP for quasi-garrison community. You would never guess that he is a part of the establishment that plundered Jamaica for 18 years.. The same bunch that is thristy for power at the moment, so much so that they will block or taint any remedy from the current govt that would serve as an effective antidote to the poison of criminality in Jamaica.
Guess we need to forget the Post Master General (telecom) fraud scam and the NHDC provident societies scam.
This man robbed Jamaicans blind.
Last I heard, a thief is a thief...
I am yet to see or hear him express any rue or responsibily for what he did.
he seems to just PRETEND that it never happened, and if it did, it was some other Rev Ronald Thwaites.
As a kid I use to be impressed by this man, but as an adult, it seems that his words and his existence has only served him.. For a human being and even moreso, Rev, if my observations are correct, then he should be ashamed.

"MEMBER of Parliament for Central Kingston Ronnie Thwaites yesterday called for the link between politics and crime to be severed completely, stating that there should be more widescale support for the police.
Insisting that where there is wrongdoing Jamaicans should support the law, Thwaites said he was willing to be an “informer” and set an example that people should condemn criminals and not be afraid to report crimes to the police.

“I will tell the police, tell them that I am an informer,” Thwaites said in his address to a People’s National Party (PNP) Kingston Central constituency conference at Kingston Technical High School.
“The people of Central Kingston must send a message to PNP central to disassociate itself from any criminal activities anywhere,” he added, making reference to last week’s murders of eight persons in Tredegar Park, St Catherine, which were allegedly carried out by the PNP-affiliated Klansman Gang.
Marauding gunmen carried out the attack in Tredegar Park Friday morning. An 11-year-old girl was among their victims.
The police reported that two of the 20 gunmen said to be involved in the early morning massacre were members of the Klansman Gang.
That gang, and the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP)-affiliated One Order Gang have been involved in a turf war in Spanish Town and its environs for years, police said.
Thwaites said the most recent murders were yet another stain on the nation.
“PNP don’t need any connection with any criminals to win any election,” he said. “We must not support any criminal action carried out by anyone.”
In a heated speech as the political temperature in the PNP rises ahead of its 72nd annual conference set for mid-September, Thwaites told the comrades to distinguish themselves from members of the ruling JLP.
“We have nothing in the PNP compared to what was uncovered and dismantled in Tivoli Gardens,” he said. “We do not have any leader in the party who is prepared to go to the limits to protect anyone like the prime minister did to protect Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke.”
The conference was also addressed by PNP Youth Organisation president Damian Crawford, who said that much of the society’s ills were “because of irresponsibility and indiscipline”.
“It is indiscipline that leads to criminality. If that indiscipline is not contained, it leads to further indiscipline, and later widespread indiscipline which is the root of our crime problem,” he said to loud cheers.
Constituency conferences were also held in St Andrew, South East, South, and St Catherine South East yesterday. "</span>
