Am I the only one who doesn't have a problem with black people using the word "ni99a"?

I live in a neighbourhood where there are many Orthodox Jews; one day I passed two little boys dressed like the ones below playing and rough-housing as boys do when one called the other <span style="font-style: italic">sale Juif</span> (dirty Jew).

Furthermore, Jewish performers use all kinds of Yiddish words (which may be quite vulgar for all we know) to describe themselves and even mock their own cultural quirks c.f. Woody Allen & Mel Brooks. Jewish people love those two directors and aren't denouncing them and Gentiles aren't going around askying why they can't use anti-Semitic language.

In any case, I agree that nothing is really going to change. Dr. Laura is just getting a ton of free publicity out of this foolishness.

i think 'ni66a' is the most popular word among blacks in america...and spreading throughout the world as well

is it their most common term to greet each other and describe each other?
was it self-appointed or created for them by a former oppressor/tormentor?

he was no longer a man but a negro---"negro" became the noun, and its descendant "ni66er" ---- a type of creature was what it was meant to convey...

personally i think there is no coincidence in the worldwide depraved condition of the african and his infatuation with a word created by his former oppressor to downgrade him...
in my opinion it shows a level of mental slavery in that one is still pre-occupied with his oppressor instead of reclaiming his own independent thought...
in other words i will hold on to their names, words & classifications at all costs-- no matter if said word was created to show hatred for me and my kind....
because i can not imagine a world where whites are not my lord and master...

In AA it is a accept truth that one must first recognize that one is in a state of addiction, before one can escape its hold, in the same vein rappers and ghetto youths are telling us and themselves that they know how they are being treated by refering to themselves as such. In Jamaica ghetto youths do not say "ni66er" but use a word that tells you exactly whats happenning to them " suffera". In America a "ni66er" is a suffera, only difference being that the word also has another history to it. That historical baggage is what many blacks refuse to let go and so feel it is an insult to use the word.

The use of the word is driven by the conditions the youths find themselves in and not vice versa, plus like the word "gay" it has changed its meaning in some significant ways.

Question to you is which is more important the history of a word and its historical meaning or it current meaning and its current (contextual) usage?

word sound is power...
a word's root must always be examined lest we praise demons with our utterances;

the portugese and spanish who started the african trans-atlantic slave trade used their word for black= "negro" (black) to describe the africans;
however the english-speaking white nations adopted the spanish word but opted to pronounce it "knee-grow"...no doubt realizing that the latin word for "dead" is "necro";
so in the anglo-american mind, the african was a non-entity...literally a dead man;
he did not elect to call himself a "blanco"...he called himself "white"- consistent with his language...

knowing the root & origin of these words it is a dis-honor to my ancestors to now adopt this term to identify myself...
i define myself and don't allow others, especially enemies, to define who i am...

these modern day ni66ers are doing the works of the beast, though unwittingly;

my ancestors had names before the beast came to covet his land...
"ni66er" was not one of them...

you are right...the word "the" is actually used more ....
what statistics?
i'm going by personal experience and i know that "ni66a" is one of black america's favorite words;
the word for a male is "ni66a" and the word for a female is "b!tch"...
have you ever listened to hip-hop music?

yea black people usually don't pronounce the ER...they usually use an A...plus its a different context...but who can deny that the word is extremely popular in black america?
to keep it real i have been called or referred to as "ni66a" by blacks far more than by whites...but given the different contexts that is no surprise...

i don't know anything about the jews...they have a homeland with nuclear weapons and they are strong economically as well...i couldn't care less what they elect to call each other and themselves...

I feel so confused on the issue of the "N" bomb. I can see all sides of the debate and I agree and disagree with some aspects of all those sides.

One thing for sure is that in the next generation and the one after that the word will not have the same earths shattering response it does today, no matter who uses it.
