Mi decide fi iron, duh some ironing wid iron board and iron...

Mi menshaning dis becozz mi became super paranoid ovah di bedbug epidemic...an mi know di value of 'STEAM'...mi decide fi iron whole heap a sinting especialy clothes whey mi wear pan di bus ...cheapah fi tek bus dan pay over 12 dollahs per howah fi paawk...mi did pani when mi si wan teenajah kakroach pan di bus lass year..

So mi deyah a hiron while lissn'n tuh di jamaican radio an getting therapy fram di repetitive motion fram sliding di iron...

Mi did haff wan co-worker whey did married to wan docktah whey used to tell mi seh shi hiron dung to har bath towels.. guess shi waan mek sure shi get any bacteria leff ovah fram di laundering..

Steam a tek ovah in di house general cleaning depawtment tuh...di machines now whey dem a sell fi clean dung tuh di counter tops/windows an di like...

oh, mi still tink ironing/steaming beat dry cleaning which can be very toxic to ppl whey wear chothes whey jry clean...[mi naaah menshan di exorbitant cleanahs bill whey mi pay monthly]

...back to di steaming...mi gi whey wan bran new clothes/curtain steamah whey mi did buy Macy's...datts aneddah good way to steam your things to guard against backteria pan yuh freshly laundered clothes an linen[s]...


Ting is even if one doesn't use public laundry [mi tink years agguh, TG did wan poas bout di numbah of bacteria that can be 'picked up in public laundries on supposedly washed/clean clothes] your own washing machine can be a reservoir for bacteria if it is not kept clean....of course di cycle that the clothes is washed &quot;on' ie HOT vs cold has a lot to do wid how &quot;clean' di clothes really is aftah laundering...


Did *I* mention goood ole BLEACH?

Mi si yuh post dung soh bout Peroxide...annihoo, fram wha mi hannastan, nutt'n can tek di place of bleach when it comes to disinfection..

Peroxide is a bleach as well Mass Dahjah...I guess wan has to be juss as careful when using it, even in laundering...tickyah it noh mess hup yuh clothes...especially yuh paawty clothes..
