I lost my job last April...

Clients cutting back, or not paying. One client told our company to open an office near them. Then fired us!

Did a bit of freelance writing and start my new job in September.

It's kinda scary being out of work in a foreign country...

I don't know how things are over on your side of the world Derek but over here it don't look very good at all. This <span style="text-decoration: line-through">recession</span> depression is far from over.

we're facing serious times...

the western-raw capitalistic money-is-god economic model is dead...
the philosophy of unlimited 'growth' and blood-sucking is exposed...

the problem is stubborness-- as with all empires they become too big and clumsy to react to shifts &amp; also delusional due to being used to the status-quo for so long...

i find myself thinking about jamaica more and more...

the world is going to become quite different
