See – this is what I mean about the “hot spots” ...

The concept that things only happen in certain areas.

Not in depth detail here but ... last night, the phone ring – half past midnight.

It’s my husbands cousin phoning.

A close friend was shot and killed in Negril around 11o’clock.

He was a policeman – it wasn’t work related tho.

The neighbor who lives in front of my fatherinlaw – his nephew was killed in Negril last night ...

Police kill more people in Negril than are killed by civiliant.
It is likely he is killied by one of his own.

A police officer just shot another to death IN OCHO RIOS police station this morning.

We're waiting to see - I think it'll be coming over the news radio for certain.

He wasn't shot by one of his own.

Suffice it to say, it was just people being dumb - someone dissin' someone else - someone taking offense. Tuh much boasie people inna one place nuh good.

On a side note, I wonder if people are aware that many unsavory things go on in Negril ... No, it's not Tivoli Gardens but there is indeed a healthy dose of crime in Negril.

I for one, don't subscribe to that theory of, everything's milk and honey and fine outside of Town.

Yes, from what I have been reading, Negril was a place of ill-repute, one visitor said that while visiting there a burglar came in the room and robbed them and they pretended to be asleep.

My friends who used to visit there now stay in Ochi at the all inclusive.

I'm at a loss of words when it comes on to these murders ...sorry to hear, may he RIP.

I’d say, about over the past 4 years or so now, Negril has been getting more and more _____ <span style="font-style: italic">(insert adjective of choice)</span>

Funny enuff you should mention Mo-Bay....I met a J'can couple last week...the lady said she had lived in the US and after 25 years returned to Mobay...lived there for 7 years and had to fly/run back to BooYaawk; at a tremendous material loss...but she has her life...crime chased her away.

These places have changed. Jamaica nice, but when one hears of these murders constantly, it does something to the psyche; individual and collective.
