Ragashanti resigns from NewsTalk

CONTROVERSIAL radio show host Dr Kingsley ‘Ragashanti’ Stewart this morning tendered his resignation with immediate effect from the programme Ragashanti Live‚ broadcast on NewsTalk 93FM.
Professor Gordon Shirley, principal of the Mona Campus and chairman of Universal Media Company Ltd, operators of NewsTalk 93 FM, received an email from Stewart in which he stated that effective today, the programme would no longer air, said a release from NewsTalk.
“The board of management of the station after careful review of the matter determined that in the best interest of the University of the West Indies, Mona, and the station, that the programme should be discontinued with immediate effect and appropriate music played until further notice,” the release said.
