FIVE British residents who were involved in an altercation with four police officers at the Norman Manley International Airport yesterday have been charged.
They have been identified as 27-year-old student, Aaron Lake; Clarena Fritz, a 17-year-old student; 27-year-old Petrina Lake; Collin Barnes, 37, auto mechanic; and Denise Lake, 37, all of London, England addresses.
The Norman Manley police report that about 5:00 pm, a police corporal was conducting security checks on an outbound London flight when he approached Denise Lake and Barnes to inform them of security procedures.
Police say the pair began to behave boisterously and a scuffle ensued after Aaron Lake intervened.
Other cops rushed to their colleagues aid and restrained the three.
Police say while escorting the three to the police post, Clarena Fritz and Petrina Lake started shouting loudly, insisting they did nothing wrong.
The five were arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour, use of indecent language and resisting arrest.
Additionally, Aaron Lake and Collin Barnes were charged with unlawful wounding while Clarena Fritz was charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
They will appear in court on Friday.
