Then I come an get a PM from Twiney and ask me if my brother is in Canada yet cause her friend jus met a guy that is new to the area.

I am doing fine, acclimating to my new life in Canada. Thankfully, I have nothing to complain about so far... well except for the fact that in Canada you have to pay for EVERYTHING.

Certain things that are naturally included with services in the United States come with extra fees in the Canada.

That said, I like everything else here so far {<span style="font-weight: bold">it's not biting cold yet</span> }. After dealing with the struggles and restrictions that came with being in the U.S. for all those years just on a student or work visa, I feel really blessed to now live in a place where I have all the rights and responsibilities of a permanent resident, and the stability and security that that provides.

I should receive my official Permanent Residence card within 6 - 8 weeks; I have a temporary one now.

The job search process has been very encouraging so far. I've already done a number of phone interviews, and earlier this week I had 3face-to-face interviews. Hopefully, I will get a job offer soon.

<span style="font-weight: bold">I have also had some guidance and support from Jamaican friends I met here in Edmonton (Tricia and Neil -- introduced by college friend, Jennifer), as well as from Nickeisha in Ontario.</span></span>
