It seems to me if a woman was confident her husband did not thing wrong she would not need an apology. After all these years I think she has doubts or maybe he is up to his old tricks. I thinks she wants an apology to pacify those doubts.

I wasn't referring to him casting a vote, what has he written or said that has been quoted, mentioned, discussed, or even heard of? Has he been vocal about anything, taken a stand, anything?
