SAVANNA-LA-MAR, Westmoreland — The Savanna-la-Mar police has charged embattled United States-based pastor Paul Lewis, with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Lewis, who was charged with the carnal abuse of a 15-year-old Westmoreland girl and indecent assault involving a 14-year-old girl last year, was offered bail in the sum of $300,000.
He is booked to appear in the Savanna-la-Mar Resident Magistrate's Court on November 11 to answer that charge.

However, during the preliminary enquiry one of the complainants is reported to have changed the statement she gave the police that the man of the cloth had sex with her.
Subsequent investigations by Westmoreland police revealed that Lewis offered the complainant money to change her statement.
Lewis was charged shortly before his appearance in the Westmoreland Circuit Court where the carnal abuse charge was mentioned.
He is scheduled to reappear in the Westmoreland Circuit Court on Wednesday, November 3, when the case will again be called up.
