Its NOT rational that people would vote back in the SAME (rep) leaders that made their situation as dire as it is in the first place..
BUT it comes right back to what I'm am trying hopelessly to convey.. "People are NOT rational".. "hungry, jobless people, even worse.."

Jamaica right now flirting with turning back the country over to the SAME people who spent thier 18 yrs in power running the Jamaican society into the ground.

now , no-one says you cant do two things at once, but can you do two things VERY WELL at once?
A mean, can you put the same amount of effort in each item that you would if only doing ONE at a time?
Considering the crapbag that he was given by GWB, the agrument can be made that healthcare was Important but NOT a Priority.
JOBS (on the otherhand) was both Important AND a PRIORITY. Even if Obama was working on other items, from the people's perspective, it should seem that his sole focus was JOBs.
This has not been so. I watched Obama on the John Daily and was a bit dissapointed in his blawzay response. Its almost as if he was disconnecting.

It is no secret that the reps AND many Dems blocked Obama's efforts at Job creation, BUT he didnt help with his messaging.

Obama needs some tough love. Shake the people who blowing smoke up his rearend while sabotaging him with either their naivety or hypocracy..

It will be a very interesting next 2 years..

I love my politics but what a disappointing season it has been for me. First with Missa Golding - the man who I campaigned with righteous fervor for. No lie - I believed in that man more than any other politician, still think he's one of the very best impromptu speakers on the planet, but hey that does not translate to good leadership. Now I can barely look at him without feeling the need to avert mi eyes. And Bama, oh Bama. The man has turned out to be a weak and ineffectual leader. I am not even sure what he stand for anymore. Republicans are already on record as saying repeal, repeal, no retreat no surrender. He is going to be wishing for his old senate seat back in Illinois before too long. Golding and Bama two sides of the same coin - men who promised much and delivered very little and I predict both will go down miserably come 2012.

In fairness however to both Bruce and Barack, they both got handed a total wreck of economies by their predesessors.
if a root cause analysis of where were are now is to be done, PJ Patterson would George Bush would be high on the origin list for both Jamaica and America respectively.

In Bruce's case he had a golden opportunity to turn Jamaica around with the state of emergency after the Dudus saga. For the first time since I was born I could see criminality on the retreat in Jamaica.. But again, Bruce naively allow Portia, her croonies and special interest to cease the state of emergency and to focus the people on somthing as mundane as the manatt issue. Mundane in relations to what could have been accomplished. Jamaica came THIS close to see a turn around, we may never get that opportunity again, well not without something politically apocalyptic hapening.

In Baracks case, he is totally compromised by both the Rep and Dems.. Yet he naively delegates to people who undermines him and simply is painted by the media as detached.. He seems to allow this, putting pounage into the notion that people are smart and he can woo them with talk.

If I should put a simplistic observation on this, its that in my humble opinion, both Bruce's and Baracks apparent failure would be as a result that they apply NORMALLY political leadership skills in very ABNORMAL times.

wait until it actually kicks in;
right now employer health plans are through the roof...
i tell no lie- costs have risen in some cases maybe 100%...
good old-fashioned price gouging by the big conglomerates sensing changes ahead...
i don't know how it will all turn out but right now it look a way fi real fi real

I have also learned that here in North America, if you are nice to people they become suspicious of you because in their mind there must always be an ulterior motive.
