Agreed and well said. While I believe in a higher power the older I get, the less and less I believe in a God that is a kind of cosmic favor giver, who intervenes in the natural order of things because humans ask him to. So while I feel grateful and give thanks that Jamaica was spared the wrath of a direct hit I doubt that it was because God shifted the hurricane away from Jamaica and put it on what appears to be a direct path to the Turks and Caicos islands.
