.. your life by google maps..

on my way in this morning, i was thinking how these mapping sites allow us to see places we grew up in a differnet light.
Anyhow.. thought I'd try this game.
we post a snap of a place (from google map), give a clue and we guess where it is..
once the right answer is had, we have to give a short story about the place and how it impacted us.

So meck mi start.. Where is this place?

Some technical help info.

1. Use google maps to fid the loc.
2. Switch to Satellite view
3. Uncheck &quot;Labels&quot; (to hide the street names and landmarks)
4. Hold down the &quot;Shift+ Print Screen&quot; keys to copy the screen
5. run mspaint (Windows)
6. &quot;Ctrl+V &quot; or Edit &gt; Paste to paste the copied screen
7. Cut and edit
8. Save as a (jpeg) file
9. Upload to www.tinypic.com (or anywhere u choose.. FB works)

.. a little off track.. but mi a find whey mi spent the first 5 yrs and mi just realize something bout the name a di streets mi NEVER noticed before..
.. and we wonder why the Gun culture..
Catch the name of two of the streets.. mi was smack dab in the miggle...

Nothing strange or conspiratorial about the names.
It the location of the military range before twicknam park and green bay were established. Then up park camp extended to mountain view road

Mountain view rd use to be called long mountain road.

So the present name for everywhere has been undergone name change.

the Jamaica gun ___Club still use a part of the old range as their facilities at present.

I was going to post a clue to help give the location of my childhood home but i think it is pretty obvious.

The yellow pin is di place mi did call yawd.

Right you is! That's up Stony Hill way. We actually lived right below Hermitage Dam Road. Nice view of Kingston up deh soh.

ooook.. a have an idea.. going up Stoney Hill, thats to the right..
There is theis sharp left wi always make going up that side.. We called it &quot;man bump&quot; or &quot; chip tire&quot; cause the trucks' gear always wind down right deh suh.. suh wi had to droop it inna 1st or di &quot;creeper&quot; gear in order to make that corner.. den all u can hear a di tires a chip..
