Obama's race has nothing to do with the United States not helping Haitians or the the 8 million or so people around the world who die of starvation every year, or the millions of people who die from curable or preventable diseases.
The United States is in the business of helping.....itself.... to the world wealth.
It has never been altruistic but only coincidental in whatever benevolence it has bestowed on those in need.
Obama may LOOK like those poor people in Haiti but he is not a poor Haitian. He is a well off citizen of the United States or Kenya and he has as no connection with a poor Haitian nor does most of the Congress care about the rest of the world.
It's not what they do.
It is not what the wealthy and the corporate interests pay them to do.
They do what the people who pay them tell them to do, often without having to be told.
That involves spending a trillion dollars every year beating up the poor peoples of the world for what they have that we want rather than spending that money to end hunger and disease all over the world.
As Faithfull would put it, "You cannot worship both mammon (money) and God"
You CANNOT serve humanity if you serve the almighty dollar first.
With the exception of very few, as many as I can count on one hand, all the members of congress and the entire government including every president in the 20th and 21st centuries serve the dollar.
We live in a theocracy where the God happens to be the bottom line; the dollar.
It is the unelected dictatorship of the dollar.
And the Haitians and the other tens of millions of its victims can go ded a bush.Comment

Hey Wendy, chk the real on that because so far only Brazil and Venezuela have sent the money. Not one other country has yet america is asking for interest on a loan they haven't even given yet.Comment
