it would seem dat , i can ongle guess, white Canadian students r passing on universities wid a large proportion of Asian students as dem seh dem cannot compete wid dem....

wat kine a fawt is dis...at the rate dem letting in Asians in Canada does dis mean dem wi own di country fairly soon....

mi know di Indians have taken ovah di hotel , gas station, n r all the pharmacists , eye doctors an couple other specialists n dem coupled wid di odda Asians mean is a clean sweep...

any way dis led di news earlier

My niece is in med school at University of Toronto ...about 80%of the class is Asian.

Take the stats a little further and you will see a high percentage of those students are here studying with a students visa - the universities get paid a huuuuggge amount from international students.

Surprisingly enough, there are also a large number of younger children - grade school and high school age -studying here as well on student visa's... again a high fee charged, however, the younger ones can come with one parent or guardian.

actually in med school (at least in ontario) foreign students are almost unheard of.

Rich the math is go through high school and then apply for permanent resident status an then them can get into med school...

Sorry to say ... they have the averages to get into the academic programs so some of the other nationalities don't really choose not to go to a particular University ... they cant get in...from my experience.

ask har dis next time u tawk wid har...does she find them lacking in bedside manners....they have seemingly no innate sense of empathy...veddy clinical in their approach to everything an defintely not tuned to thinking outside the box...i find that also wid di Indian ones ...great wid di book regurgitation but any ting else an dem is floored....absolutely horrible patient interaction

u also supposedly have a proportion of Hong Kong students whose parents were able to 'buy' the residency under that programme of having X amount of money...they have bought condos etc for the kids and the kids live here in Canada...they r part of the university population and also part of a supposedly spiralling behavioural problem in Toronto etc

I can't answer to the proportions but through my previous employ with Tax Services, the monthly accommodation expenses paid out by some far exceeded my monthly (and in some cases quarterly) earnings.


Richie - while the numbers in Ontario seem relatively small - check large centers like Vancouver

whats wrong with too many Asians in Canada? last time Canada counted there were 180 000 Jamaicans in the GTA alone. Toronto is to the Caribbean ,Vancouver is to the Asians. Everybody is welcomed in Canada, black, blue, yellow, small eyes, big eyes.....................

Rich ... High School to meet English Language Proficiency to get into a college program... Med school requires post secondary work and they are the ones who apply to med school with work experience and a 4 year degree= Canadian experience class.
