Re: So today is
Thanks for asking Sandi.
I just got back the other day from the funeral.
Suffice it to say, it was an ugly week and a half being down there.
The case keeps getting rescheduled and rescheduled and rescheduled over crap and BS. The plus though, is that they have the killer in custody and I do feel like he'll get what's coming to him from the judicial system. The situation is such that there's really no way he'd be able to wriggle out of it. (here's some more below)

Charged for security guard’s murder at hotel
A man has been charged for the death of security supervisor Jasmine Dunn, of Mansfield Heights, or Falklands, in St Ann.
Charged with murder is 22-year-old Andrew Whitmore of Salem Runaway Bay. Whitmore was an employee of the Royal De Cameron Hotel where Ms Dunn was killed.
He appeared in the St Ann’s Bay RM court on Tuesday, October 26, when his case was mentioned.
The case was put off until next week Tuesday, November 2, as he had no legal representation. However, attorney-at-law Nathan Geddes-Morrison has been assigned to represent him. Whitmore was remanded in custody.
Investigating officer is Detective Corporal Joseph Rose.
Another man who is also an employee at the hotel was released after statements were taken from him. Police said they had no basis for continuing to hold him.
The body of 45-year-old Ms Dunn was found on the beach at the
Royal De Cameron Club Hotel, Salem, on Monday morning, October 11. She was employed to Securiguard and assigned to the hotel.
Police charged Whitmore on Wednesday last week, October 20, after he was interviewed in the presence of his attorney. Sources say Whitmore had reportedly first told police that he had gone to the assistance of the security guard when she fell and hit her head. He had said he was innocent and had nothing to do with her killing.
Police said they went to his home and found several pounds of chicken meat that was believed to be stolen from the hotel. They said the chicken meat they believe to be stolen from the hotel was still in the bag in which it was packaged from the processors. They also claim that Ms Dunn’s hands were tied by the strings from the bag.
Police theorize that Ms Dunn accosted Mr Whitmore after she detected that chicken had been thrown over a wall at the eastern end of the hotel premises. They believe that he hit Ms Dunn with a blunt object and, realizing she was dead, tied her up and threw her body onto the beach.
Her hands were bound when she was found face down in the water on Monday morning.
