Peter Rez, a physics professor at Arizona State University in Tempe, did his own calculations and found the exposure to be about one-fiftieth to one-hundredth the amount of a standard chest X-ray. He calculated the risk of getting cancer from a single scan at about 1 in 30 million, “which puts it somewhat less than being killed by being struck by lightning in any one year,” he told me.

While the risk of getting a fatal cancer from the screening is minuscule, it’s about equal to the probability that an airplane will get blown up by a terrorist, he added. “So my view is there is not a case to be made for deploying them to prevent such a low probability event.”

Harriet Baskas, reporting for MSNBC on Thomas Sawyer, a retired teacher and bladder cancer survivor who now wears a urostomy bag to collect his urine:

“One agent watched as the other used his flat hand to go slowly down my chest. I tried to warn him that he would hit the bag and break the seal on my bag, but he ignored me. Sure enough, the seal was broken and urine started dribbling down my shirt and my leg and into my pants.”

The security officer finished the pat-down, tested the gloves for any trace of explosives and then, Sawyer said, “He told me I could go. They never apologized. They never offered to help. They acted like they hadn’t seen what happened. But I know they saw it because I had a wet mark.”

Humiliated, upset and wet, Sawyer said he had to walk through the airport soaked in urine, board his plane and wait until after takeoff before he could clean up.

If I may make a point here.
The reason there is a threat to airline passengers is because people from countries where the United States has been killing their friends, family neighbors are coming here to get back at us for what WE'VE done to them.
This called blowback and is a natural result of U.S. foreign policies put in place by the government WE elect.

To project the image that the government is protecting us from crazy terrorists they put things like the airport security measures in prominent display and in a very intrusive manner so as to have us think they are doing what is necessary to prevent another 9/11.

Of course what is necessary is for the GOUSA to stop killing people overseas for their resources and since this will never happen because of the people WE elect, you can expect to be bending over and spreading those cheeks for the cavity search in the near future.

Stupid people deserve the murderous government and all the humiliating treatment they get.

It's still better than being in Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, Iraq, Palestine where the U.S uses explosives to see what those people are carrying inside them.

no dem musthave been rough when doing the <span style="text-decoration: line-through">feelup</span> pat down. Then them parading the vid of the child who was getting searched and he was shirtless- a suggest say a TSA disrobe the child and subject him to anal probe. WHen in fact it was the frustrated father who tore the child's shirt off

maybe a cause mi naw travel right now, but them talking like say ppl a dig troo dem underpants. In fack one woman claim say the searcher reached INTO her underwear when searching her. Mi tink a lie she a tell- just a hypy hype now.

i travelled a few weeks ago and got the pat down but dem neva reach eena anyting

but is like u haffi strip anyway fi go thru security anyway

shoes off, coat off, take out laptop, kindle, iphone and everyting else,

watch u earrings lest dem sound de alarm bracelet,
come in like time fi design sprecial clothes for traveling

all dat too But everybody allowed a personal carrying thing- him coulda did have a manpurse and put 2 brief inna it just in case. Plus if u have dem type machinery deh- dont u have to carry supplies for it. A change of things should be standard for him. I felt bad for him, but mi neva fully believe him.

Would u want a man or woman feeler, or it dont matter? MI know the man dem woulda much rather get feelup by women, but women prolly the oppposite.

When i fly beginning a the month, I refused the scanner, but them just send me thru regular xrfay, and didnt even search me. Probly because of my angelic face and charming personality.

so wen dem search u, did they go like all unda u bosom and inna u inseam an such? any mid crack review? Didnt the failed bomber have bomb inna him crackery- or was on a sac

the men probly feel less weirded out if is a woman a feelup dem undaneat- for a guy to do that to a guy must be can u imagine di worker dem too- bend down pan floor and a massage anotha man undaneat.

I think a guy TSA might enjoy him job too much if him have to search mi, so mi wi aks fi a old granny TSA fi do me.
