Best Buy is offering a $197 Hewlett-Packard laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) with a 15.6-inch screen and an Intel Celeron processor. Other specs include 2GB of RAM hpHP G60-507DX (expandable to 4GB), 160GB hard drive, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Missing features on this device include Bluetooth, Webcam, and TV Tuner.
This is an in-store only special, so if you've got your eye on the HP you'll have to line up early.

yep it's true, but they only have something like 6 of them. at Best Buy they start a line at 2 AM and give out tickets for the doorbuster deals (crowd control, hehe) - so if you one of the first people in the line is the only way you can get ticket for deals like this one.
may not be the best quality laptop but still, i could see someone wanting to get one for a schoolchild; it would be enough for that kind of usage.
Last year i was tryin my best to get one a these myself when i was broke and my hard drive had crashed - i had NO laptop atall, one a dem cheapy ones woulda held me over nicely at that time til i could afford the better one....
but i missed it

I can relate to that Faithful.....not the BF sale ting, I will buy bag and shoes and think this looks familiar and then couple months later I come across the same shoes and bag in different colour

i will do it if is a good deal on something i really need or want - but just for general shopping, no.
last year i got an excellent deal on a flatscreen TV, it was one a them "doorbusters" like that laptop - they had only a very few - and it was worth every minute of the overnight line at the Target (which was hilarious and fun, all kinda ridiculous funny stuff going on in the parking lot) - to get in and out the store inna half hour with the specific thing i went for.
I was outta there and home by 7 AM watching my new HD-TV.
