Pre-mature. But also reflection on the dire shortage ... or lack of knowledge ... or short-term memory of policy-makers ... of Jamaican heroes and role models for children.

actually.. in death, he cant messup.
Now at 20 something he has lots of time to go sideways, bring down a school with him.
plus, it too much pressure n the poor bredren..

What a thing if dem should always rename schools after successfull athletes..

CBar woulda name Daniel England High School
Wolmer's Boys woulda name Jeffery Dujon High School
Wolmers Girls woulda name Shelly-Ann Fraser High

What if they DO rename Charlemount to Asafa Powell, then next year or so a even faster runner comes outta Charlemont? Will they then rename Asafa Powell High to the new sports hero's name?

Build a new school and or sports center / facility for Asafa..

your bredda tuh? mine was given the honor of having an area <span style="text-decoration: line-through">weh him was a buss khalli in 4th form</span> of the school grounds named after him <span style="text-decoration: line-through">by teachers and peers</span> when the headmaster invited him to apply for another high school
