I was a Rasta in 70s. A cop in the 80s and I grew up with men like Willie Haggart, General Stalky, Lip, George Phang, Natty Kunda, All of Blake Family, Joe Dawg, etc.

I also listened to the indoctrination of Paul Burke, Maxine Henry among others.
The Shower Posse was never mentioned, never heard in Jamaica till Jim Brown became a member of the Gang and they came under the radar of the USA authorities.

Jamsica was the primary source of bauxite for the USA.

Without bauxite then there would be no aluminum.

Jamaica was much more valuable to the USA in a lots of ways.

Fifty One It was s thorn in the sides of the US in relation to investments in south Africa.
it was Jamaica That initiated the call for economic boycott if south Africa.

They wanted a government in Jamaica That would toe the us international line.
Vote with the USA irrespective of their justification.

Not Just Jamaica many countries That eiukd otherwise not be of i trestle turn tgr US was harnessed for politic if not blatant economic reasons.

true true...i use to drive wid Burke when him was going to him farm at country...him use to go Junction way an come a mi house fi pick mi up...mi fada use fi screw since Burke was PNP...Maxine was headgirl at Andrewswen i started there...use to hear har tawk at 6th form assoicaition wich i shudden go as first former but hey....Paul later put mepon a panel wen i was in 6th form at this big meeting at Carib....bad man did deh bout but not independent like now..dem still was tightly aligned to dem patrons as security....the mayor of Kgn Mr Mason was a family fren even doah him was staunch PNPso mi use fi hang out wid him wen him deh pon him runnings///Paul Robertson fada christen me n we all lived up a di said place...Paul likkle bredda was mi running partner who later died from him fast driving..so mi a show seh mi was party to both party runnings plus di police runnings...
