4.5 wid epicenter at St Margaret's Bay, Portland
The Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies
has confirmed that an earthquake this afternoon rocked sections of Jamaica.
The Earthquake Unit says the tremor measured 4.5 on the Richter Scale.
The epicentre was St Margaret’s Bay in Portland.
Our news centre has been receiving calls primarily from people in Kingston and St Andrew about the quake.
The Earthquake Unit says the tremor happened about 4:32 p.m. and lasted about 30 seconds.Comment

My friend in Kingston said she felt her bed shake and some things on the dresser moved but it was over very quickly.Comment
