Falmouth been ontrack to be the next Tourism mecca/cash cow.. Lets hope we manage this one better than PNP's (Portia & PJ) Squatters/Activist Paradise, MoBay..

havent clicked the link yet ( in meeting suh cant turn on speakers) , but would that be a vid where someone was showing the negative environmental effects of the pier?
If so, its understandable..and expected.. there may even be worse. there is rarely ever any development without environmental impact..

I think it's more about the effect on the people than the environment, though it mentions the environment it seems to be more in the context of Jamaican government having to pay for everything, not the cruise lines.

I am not sure what will happen to the relocated people either, nor am I sure what positive effect the development will have on the area.

But the track record for this sort of development is not good so far.

I'm not sure how creating jobs and industry is a negative for city that has more has less been neglected for decades
not sure how a multi million$$ development in Harmony Cove which will provide jobs and markets for farmers is a negative?

what i'm sure of is that anything that a the same govt that spent 2 decades destrying an economy comes out against, it most likely to be a GOOD thing..
