Yes ..it was not nice what John did .. But I will not go as far to say he is celebrating what is happening to Elizabeth. The reports say he is by her side. This is the mother of his children despite all the problems they have had...I am sure he wants her to pass in dignity.

When I heard the news my heart sank for Elizabeth. This is clearly a death sentence for her Once cancer hits any organ - its pretty much over. **sigh** my heart goes out to her- truly

May she find comfort and be surrounded with love as she journeys into the next realm Elizabeth is also John's best friend.

I agree with Wendy re: John. We put our politicians on too high a pedestal and we allow media reports to usurp our common sense and dictate what &quot;values&quot; we should look for in politicians and other public figures. Cheating on your wife has nothing to do with whether or not you are a good person. Period. Much less a good and capable politician.

I don't put any politician on a pedestal and haven't mentioned one lick about politics in the post. I just think he's yuck and his behaviour is yuck and dishonorable.

At every turn where he had an opportunity to do the right thing, it <span style="font-style: italic">seems,</span> he chose not to.

Matters not to me if he's a congressman or the high school janitor.
