Mr. Yuri is a very very very very VERY old fashioned cat.

Suffice it to say, he's living in the year whateverwhatever A.D.

And he doesn't believe in refinancing or credit cards. Nothing to do with the current economic climate - he just has never believed that these are anything but scams disguised as tools to hurt and scam the consumer.

I wouldn't even <span style="font-weight: bold">try</span> and continue describe the conversation to you.

I mean she chat bout how she want fadda fi ar children but she leff sweden where she had decent bredda (cause a him she escape to). I am sure there must be other family members in sweden that could fulfill the role.

well i have 'some' measure of sympathy for the woman, but still, she made a boneheaded choice. it never hadda go down like that at all. If she had been a little more discerning in thinking about the long-term, the entire thing could have been avoided.

cause it sure seems like if she had thought about the 'bigger picture', and stayed where she was, they <span style="font-style: italic">ALL</span> could have had a much better life, if <span style="font-style: italic">he</span> had gone <span style="font-style: italic">there</span>. is why she haf to uproot herself and all those kids? it's much simpler for just one person to move - especially since it seems like a much better, and more stable, economy and home environment where she already was -

I just figured out why. He was Muslim and in their culture the woman would move to him.
I do feel but as you stated.. She made some choices that I do not think were in the best interest of her family.

yes, well..... i'll refrain from going any further with my thoughts on how allowing religious &quot;rules&quot; to trump pragmatism and practicality in everyday life, makes no flippin dyam sense, and can sometimes actually be harmful.

Cyber - that's how I felt when he and I were talking about it.

I was like - dang, all that mess mighta broken <span style="font-weight: bold">me</span>!

Life soooo hard for her and she's still standing. Props out to her.

But Mr. Yuri tried to go all deep on me - and to a point, I can see where he's coming from.

His view - Is life <span style="font-style: italic">really really </span>that hard - or is it the choices we make that sheg up our lives. He feels that we pretty much have all that we need but somehow, too often <span style="font-weight: bold">WE</span> on our own, are the ones that screw it up.

He has a point. Sorta.
