First of all lets clear up one thing,no I dont disagree with <span style="font-weight: bold">everyone</span> who wishes to express their roots,nor adopt the &quot;in-thing&quot; of denying their african heritage,.....certainly not any more more than <span style="font-weight: bold">you</span> disagree with everyone who express an opposing opinion to yours on such issues,and jump on every bandwagon about africa as if you have the monopoly on it.

Now we have that cleared up let me say why I disagree with the lady and stand by my statement that she is talking pure nonsense,rasta is not the only movement that is keeping africa alive,africa does not need to be kept &quot;alive&quot;,africa is a vast continent consisting of numerous different languages,cultures,religious and tribal beliefs,not all africans wear their hair in length or let it grow naturally,simply allowing ones hair to grow naturally does not make you an african or denotes an expression of africa.
While I agree it is important to continue to educate about our african heritage I do not see rasta as a symbol of africa.

The lady went on to say that she stopped wearing jeans because she objected to how men responded to her,....so now she wear skirts,what the hell kind of jeans was she wearing,and what kind of skirts could she possibly wear that wont illicit the same response,if she is so concerned about how men responded to her,and is so intent on keeping africa alive why not adopt one of the other african cultural norms along with her naturally grown hair,a large plate through the lips should ensure she kills two birds with one stone.
