From my understanding he re-injured the toe,which suggested it was an old wound which then refused to heal,when the nail came off maybe if bob had accepted the amputation the outcome may have been different,who knows,it was 4 years after the re-injury to the toe that he passed.

There doesnt need to be any speculation,he was diagnosed with a brain tumour,doctors in miami verified that he had cancer in the lung,brain,and stomach,......it's a very strong bet that the survival rate from that is very very minute.

Personally I dont think there were any reasons for any outside force to murder marley,his music wasnt threatening,he was neither a rebel nor an agitator,if anything he promoted love and unity,hardly the kind of stuff that warrants an assassination by dark evil forces........sorry derek I dont buy this one mate.

I am in agreement with you and find the conspiracy madness on this site amazing.
It does seem to fit in with the Jamaican penchant for rumor mongering and with that rumor mongering comes the ensuing additions, exaggerations and misquotes that come from person to person transmittal of these stories.

Black helicopters, crop circles etc etc etc.
No one here is more condemning of CIA and USA misdeeds and criminal assassinations than I, but Bob Marley was no more a threat than was Dylan, Lennon (not LENIN) or the myriad other entertainers with an an anti-war message.
Their followers never form any serious political movements and Marley in fact appeared on stage with Manley and Seaga in what appeared to be an attempt at peace making between both ESTABLISHMENT parties where, as a Rasta and any sort of threat to the status quo, he should have excoriated both as Babylon in a Malcolm X way..

The United States/CIA is and was doing quite well killing only whom they needed to kill to maintain control of the world and Marley was not one of those.
