I read in this peice that the police threatened to call the Feds for immigration violations and this was keeping hispanics from entering the town.
There's so much missing from this story, such as are these HISPANICS HERE LEGALLY?
The problem once more seems to be ignored. The town is being over run with illegal immigrants and the Federal government is ignoring the issue and because of this the local governmnet is enforcing there own set of laws to get rid of the illegals......sounds like the border towns of Arizona all over again.

Me thinks that alll the rich Dems and Repubs and their rich ruling elite socialite friends would have to pay a LEGAL IMMIGRANT or AN AMERICAN CITIZEN a living wage to do thier yard work..... or do thier own yard work such as what we middle class and working poor have to do ourselves.....but, imagine that?

You are selectively reading the article, drawing your own conclusions and then claiming there was so much missing from the article?
Seems like you've added the rest.
Based on your position why are you asking?
The Police Threats re-immigrants status is not the only reason (as you appear to conclude) why Hispanics were leaving town or not coming to town.

Of course you did overlook by design and/or mistake, the fact that one of the aggrieved is from Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico, right?
Anyway it is the classic method to destroy businesses and communities. I have seen it done to Minority Communities in three cities of two States that I lived in.
The Police park at or near your business place and harass your customers.
As one cop told I once, they have over 100 potential infractions on the books to choose from on any given day when they make a Traffic Stop. So been Hispanic, Black, Jew, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Native Americans, Muslim the story is similar, the dominant Race/Culture in whatever time period will use judicial and extra-judicial means to sanitize their neighbourhoods.
