I did tune into two right wing radio shows one local and one national ( Rush Limbaugh) and they were both going non-stop on how it wasn't THEIR fault that crazies go postal.
It was ALL they talked about.
I would expect that we'll hear very little from Sarah Palin or her nitwit supporters for a while.

The challenge Palin faces is deeper than many appreciate. The twitter comments and facebook post started before many of the news organizations had even reported the event. The real concern is that the media, public and even Palin's own team, immediately thought to check against Palin's political enemy list due to her being so irresponsible. This fact is an admission, we all know what she's done has been wrong and over the top.


Strangely I don't blame Palin, I blame the media. The media who repeats the most bombastic comments over and over for ratings and sales, no matter how dangerous are as at the center of this new reality.


The facts are this:

1. Palin put a target on the congresswoman
2. The congresswoman complained, saying it was a dangerous practice.
3. Palin responded saying people were being to PC
4. The congresswoman was shot in the head Saturday and the (public's) first reaction was to look at Palin.



These outcomes are the risk associated with Palin's brand of politics; nothing she does or says at this point will change that reality.
