am flipping thru the channels n come up on it...dis from di scene struck me...

her son (the actor) is saying to Taye playing Christopher dat him know dat him modda love him...so Taye ask how di yute know dat...n di yute seh <span style="font-weight: bold">`` you`re the ONLY one she ever brought over``....</span>

now is decades since mi read di book so mi a wonder if di author neva read this part of the dialogue when first given the script for approval...or was she in the habit of going down to frolick with young Jcan men ... mek mi wonda y she was sooo mad....maybe it was because of all she knew she mek a wrong pick....

read Stella 5yrs before it blew up...nuff people tink di book was a new book once they saw the movie...naw...it had been out long before the optioned movie came to fruition...was the climax of her writing career...the next one, dollar short r something , well its publishing date was pushed bak sooooo many times fi one reason r the other...

got the galley,remember struggling through 2 chapters before putting it down..since den i haave not read her books...


will also admit that the resultant negative impact that stella movie, (not the book) has had on Jcan society has not endeared her to me so would hesitiate before adding my money to her coffers
