Cops galore in TO

On the subways. On the streets. Just saw two red uniformed female mounties walking up the back lane of my building, toward the cop shop.

today's the funeral for the cop who was mowed down by a guy stealing a snowplow. it feels a very canadian crime.

surprised to see a lot of black faces among the cops, male and female. just last night i was talking an acquaintance, retired, who described the terrible days in the 70s when a lot of jamaican cops migrated and joined the TO police force.

weatherwise, its not a bad day for a public funeral. weather is overcast but relatively mild. pathetic fallacy.

you remeber when the cop got killed at Neilson and Ellesmere years back?
that was different. He was a real dirty scumball cop. No one ever raised the question why he had two prostitutes in the car but story has it he didnt i.d himself as a cop as he was undercover and he took a sexual favour. they put up a memorial for him in some park in Scarborough and some people destroyed it.
but this cop,,,man the guy had a two year old kid

i remember hearing about when that cop was killed. mi neva know im was a bad cop. bwoy, any cop weh dead automatically get transformed into hero enuh, at least so it seems.

there was some debate on radio this morning about whether this cop should have all this hoopla, parade, media coverage of the funeral, etc. i was kind of thinking it was overkill, but tell the truth, when i saw all those cops making their way to the funeral route, i thought, any of these guys may be killed in the line of duty, and mi tear up lickle.

not to be a retard or mean, but it shoulda been one of those Parking Ticket Enforcement guys. i wouldnt have missed one less of those vultures

yes that is sad.....was looking on the pics on TV especially the one with he and his wife cradling the baby

cops from my town left earlier on in the week....I remember a guy I went to school with became a cop and got shot....he quit after.

Firefighters erected this Canadian flag at the south end of the funeral route. Apparently, firefighters will be part of the procession.

colleagues stand at attention as the hearse arrives. the faces of toronto's cops have become more diverse, which is a good thing.
