Women,Please Comment On This.

Frankster and I are having a discussion about abortion and the problem of young girls having babies. The following is a post from Franksterr and you can read the entire back and forth in the International News forum if you'd like but I would like to hear what you women think about his position on these issues.

I would have thought more women would have something to say about Franksterr's comments.
I have evidently misjudged the prevailing attitude of Jamaican women.

what does this really mean? that wi fi gallang bad and run come tear awff him shut --or we're not astute enough to recognize a comment like the one he made warrants no further comment?

in my mind most jamaican would walk far from a man that held those opinions, especially this day, age and sexual climate.

You have my thought exactly. Given the lack of response I thought that the women at Jamaicans.com either agreed with Franksterr or had no thoughts on something that I thought women would have strong opinions on.
For that reason (failing further response) I'm not broaching the subject of women's rights in the future.
I guess coming from a generation that fought for equal rights and abortion rights for women, marching on Washington etc , I thought the times had changed and that Franksterr's outrageous statements would be jumped on by many women and not just SueSumba.

Respect.

What I meant was that there was so little response to something that was outrageous and sexist on its face that either the women agreed with Franksterr or had no strong feelings one way or the other and I find that surprising coming from a generation that fought for women's rights and against sexism.
My heading was &quot;Women please comment on this&quot; which should have drawn both attention and comment once Franksterr's comments were read and especially in the context of the entire (now linked ) thread.

Had I written something kinky and put it in the Dear John (whatever) forum, I'd get more of a response.
