If you have a woodpecker making holes in your house, it usually indicates that the bird hears bugs inside the wood and is trying to get at them. It's what they do, how they find food in rotten trees. It might be doing you a favor of sorts by letting you know that you might have an infestation, maybe termites or carpenter ants.
I had flickers (small woodpeckers) peck hell out of my cedar siding this summer and had to go up and fill the holes with a paintable silicone caulking and then paint over the patches. They won't peck the silicone. I didn't find any bugs but we have had carpenter ant problems before and maybe I just wasn't seeing them.

In Jamaica a mockingbird is called a nightingale.
My mother at one time had a bird feeder and was attracting one particular bird which she got to recognize.
At night though there was a bird that sang all through the night and kept her up.

Yep, It was the same bird, a mockingbird/nightingale

Fortunately i suppose JC, it's pecking a tree down and not the house. The tree is by my bedroom window though.

The bird in the movie was definitely singing all night keeping the lady up. Apparently, they can put out quite a lively song. That I could not take plus my dog would probably drive me nuts about it too.

The tree has bugs in it and the woodpecker is going after them.

Mockingbirds have lively songs alright. They are called mockingbirds because they mock other birds and things. They copy noises in their environments and usually repeat a song three times and then go on to the next song etc.
There have been instances when a man heard a mockingbird imitating the chimes and bells that his computer made and they have been heard imitating squeaky gates.

As I recall, booby eggs taste a lot like bald eagle or whooping crane eggs.
